World Cat has promoted Vann Knight to president of World Cat Boats.

Knight joined the company in 2018 and most recently served as chief operating officer. As president, he will take responsibility for the company’s day-to-day operations, including manufacturing, engineering, finance and customer experience.

“I am excited about this opportunity, the teams we have built, and for the future of World Cat,” Knight says. “Our team is committed to expanding the acceptance of power catamarans while delivering exceptional experiences for our customers and dealer partners. As president, I will continue our focus on strengthening the company’s manufacturing capabilities, operational excellence, and product development.”

Based in Tarboro, North Carolina, World Cat also operates a production facility in Greenville, North Carolina. The company builds outboard-powered centre and dual console catamarans ranging from 23ft to 40ft.

In June 2026, US retail giant MarineMax signed an exclusive agreement with World Cat to introduce Ducari Yachts, a new line of luxury power catamarans, to the market.
