Yamaha Motor Europe partners with Spanish boatbuilder

Yamaha De Antonio partnership

Yamaha Motor Europe reports that it has entered into a partnership with Spanish boatbuilder De Antonio Yachts. The new collaboration will see Yamaha’s outboard engines integrated into some of De Antonio’s vessels.

De Antonio Yachts is still working with Mercury Marine as its main motor supplier.

De Antonio Yachts designs dayboats and weekenders featuring concealed outboards within angular hulls. The Barcelona-based boatbuilder operates with production centres in both Spain and Poland.

“This partnership is a meeting of minds,” says Fabrice Lacoume, marine director at Yamaha Motor Europe. “De Antonio Yachts consistently push the boundaries of design, and we’re excited to empower that with Yamaha’s full range of models. These engines offer the performance, reliability and seamless integration that today’s discerning boaters demand, particularly in the premium leisure space.”

In August, De Antonio Yachts reorganised its commercial department and made new leadership appointments, as the firm looks to strengthen its international presence and expand its distribution network.

The company also introduced its new 60-foot flagship, the D60, at the 2025 Cannes Yachting Festival. The yacht is equipped with four concealed Mercury outboard engines, and the firm says it is designed as a high-performance model with a contemporary profile.

The E23 – De Antonio’s first electric boat – rolled out in spring 2024 and was selected as the official electric boat of the 37th America’s Cup.
