A 34m classic Benetti motor yacht Hidalgo was destroyed in a fire yesterday, according to Liguria Nautica.
The yacht was in storage at a shipyard near La Spezia when the fire broke out.
Within minutes, the flames caused a dense column of smoke, visible from a considerable distance, says Liguria Nautica.
The fire was prevented from extending to other units in the vicinity. No human injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is not yet known.
