A change of helm for Topsail Insurance
Topsail Insurance, the specialist UK based yacht insurance and yacht travel provider has announced that with effect from 1st September 2018, Rob Stevens will be stepping down as the UK Managing Director to head up the Topsail Australia, Sydney office. Current Director, Chris McGowan, will be taking over the role of Managing Director of Topsail in the UK.
On his move to the growing Australian side of the global company, Rob comments: “We set up the Perth office in 2014 and have built a strong presence in Australia. Opening the Sydney office is a natural progression to enhance the enviable reputation that we have in the region. I will continue to work closely with the UK and will be looking to make contact with regional and international brokers in providing Topsail product to a wider audience.”
Chris McGowan has been working alongside Rob at Topsail for 15 years and is experienced to lead the UK company and to continue with its success. McGowan reports: “It is an interesting period in the yacht insurance industry and taking over the helm at this time is very exciting. The company is well placed to continue to grow and enhance its product offering and I am looking forward to working with our team, suppliers and customers in building on the work previously done.”
