Advanced Rigging & Hydraulics, a Hamble-based specialist marine rigging company (part of the Ancasta Group), has announced a new partnership with the World Cruising Club (WCC), becoming its official preferred supplier for rigging services.

The partnership will see Advanced Rigging & Hydraulics offer technical support, rigging inspections and expert consultancy to the global sailing community that participates in World Cruising Club events, including the flagship ARC (Atlantic Rally for Cruisers). The collaboration formalises a longstanding relationship between the company and WCC rally participants.

Part of the Ancasta Group, Advanced Rigging & Hydraulics is led by veteran rigger and managing director, Neil Brinsdon, who comments: “Having been an advisor to ARC and other rally participants for many years, becoming World Cruising Club’s Preferred Supplier for rigging is a unique endorsement of our expertise.

“Offshore sailing places far greater strain on a yacht’s rig than coastal cruising, and we look forward to continuing to work closely with club members to ensure their voyages are both safe and enjoyable – wherever their adventures take them.”

World Cruising Club organises a range of offshore rallies annually, including the ARC, ARC+, World ARC and ARC Europe, which collectively welcome over 450 boats and 1,200 sailors from around the globe each year. As part of its mission, WCC provides educational support and technical partnerships that help crews prepare for safe and successful ocean crossings.

Commenting on the new agreement, Paul Tetlow, managing director of World Cruising Club, welcomes the partnership: “The collaboration with Advanced Rigging and Hydraulics underscores World Cruising Club’s ongoing commitment to supporting our rally participants with world-class technical expertise and practical service, equipping them for their next offshore sailing adventure.

“With decades of experience, Advanced Rigging and Hydraulics offers specialist insight into how to specify, service and maintain a yacht’s rig for safety, reliability and optimal performance, which should be key priorities for any sailor.”

To mark the start of the partnership, a launch event will be held at the Southampton International Boat Show on Saturday, 20 September at 16:00 on the Advanced Rigging & Hydraulics stand (H010). All World Cruising Club members and customers are invited to attend.
