AllBoat Services to celebrate precision landing at Apollo Court

AllBoat Services (ABS), which has been providing engineering services alongside technical products to Plymouth’s marine community over the last three decades, has announced the purchase of its first purpose built premises, with the promise of bringing more jobs, specialisms, sole distribution agreements, product lines and buzz to its new waterfront setting in the commercial district of Cattedown.

It’s a small coastal side step for the ABS team, who will be moving from rented space at Plymouth Yacht Haven to their own bespoke headquarters at Apollo Court, (opposite the TR2 in Neptune Park) AND a giant leap for the company as it adopts a more innovative customer-centric business model.

The change in address is reflective of a move by ABS to a more flexible, customer orientated approach where it can take its engineering expertise to customers nationwide. Widening its loyal customer base and extending its geographical reach, a fleet of new mobile workshop vehicles will be able to provide professional care and engineering repair at any dockside, marina, boatyard or driveway across the UK. ABS has also launched its first e-commerce website (www.allboatservices.co.uk) to equip the general public and trade with the electric and electronic marine products they need online 24/7.

“To meet the increased demand for our specialist services, we have moved and changed our approach to focus on the customer and the core areas where we have the greatest experience and technical abilities,” says John Ainsworth, co-owner and general manager of ABS, which is also celebrating the news that it has been appointed as the UK sole distributor for ‘Dockmate’, a wireless boat and ship docking system.

“We’ve been looking for some time for premises to invest in and when we found Apollo Court we knew it was the right place from which to grow, consolidate our business and build a rock solid foundation for the future,” adds business partner Nick Nutt, managing director of ABS. “From our new high spec premises we will be in a much better position to service even more customers who live and work here or are just visiting the city by sea. Our new base is close to Plymouth’s marinas and only a mile away from the A38 for the expansion of our mobile engineering service,” he adds.
