America’s Cup partners with global yacht agency

The official operations partner for the AC37 superyacht program will be BWA Yachting. It will be responsible for managing all the event berth bookings, access to VIP experiences and social calendar.

“As a global organisation, BWA Yachting is a long-term supporter of the America’s Cup and we’re proud to have been chosen, once again, as official operations partners for the superyacht program,” says BWA Yachting CEO Paschalis Patsiokas. “We look forward to sharing the thrill of this historic race with our clients, friends, and the city of Barcelona.”

BWA Yachting played a central role in the 34th America’s Cup in San Francisco in 2013 and at the 35th America’s Cup in Bermuda in 2017. Barcelona is set to host the 37th America’s Cup in 2024.

Antonella Della Pietra, the managing partner for BWA Yachting Spain, says: “The America’s Cup Superyacht Program will bring an impressive number of yachts to Barcelona. The owners, guests and crew will be welcomed as part of the America’s Cup family, enjoying privileged viewing positions for the races, premium berthing, and unique VIP experiences. The AC37 promises to be an extremely exciting event and we’re honored to be a part of it.”

Bases are being allocated for the 2024 America’s Cup in the host venue, with Emirates Team New Zealand first to pick its base followed by Ineos Team Britannia.

Emirates Team New Zealand, as holder of the America’s Cup, got to pick its base area first, selecting the World Trade Centre site at the western end of the official America’s Cup race village.
