Aquila Power Catamarans names global brand director

Aquila Power Catamarans has appointed Alain Raas as its global brand director. Raas will be responsible for strengthening Aquila’s position within the power catamaran sector.

Raas is an experienced boater with expertise in both power and sail categories, and has previously completed a successful trans-Pacific crossing and participated in global boating competitions. He will work closely with Aquila’s marketing and sales teams, and provide support to dealers worldwide.

Previously, Raas served as brand manager for Aquila at MarineMax. The firm says his boating experience and strategic insights are expected to contribute to Aquila’s continued global growth, including the launch of new models planned for 2025 and beyond.

“My passion lies in taking beautifully crafted products from the design and ideation stage all the way through to launch,” says Raas. “Aquila has an expansive vision for its product portfolio over the next several years, and I am thrilled to be a part of bringing that vision to life.”

Aquila Power Catamarans was founded in 2012 by China’s Sino Eagle Holding Group. The firm recently expanded its footprint in the Caribbean, establishing St Lucia-based Hackshaw as an official dealer for Aquila’s line of power catamarans.
