Artemis Technologies opens order books on electric foiling taxi

Artemis Technologies ferry rises above water

Artemis Technologies says its Artemis EF-12 Escape, a 100 per cent electric luxury water taxi, is now ready for orders.

It’s claimed to have zero operating emissions and reduced wake to help protect shorelines and wildlife.

“This is more than just a mode of transport – it’s a game-changer in waterborne mobility that offers cities a dynamic, eco-friendly alternative for people to get from A to B,” says Dr Iain Percy, CEO of Artemis Technologies, “whilst also opening up an exciting new way for guests to visit resorts and explore destinations while minimising their carbon footprint.”

The taxi features the Artemis eFoiler system, enabling the vessel to rise above the water for an ultra-smooth and quiet ride. It has a top speed of 30 knots and a foiling range of 52 nautical miles, plus it fully recharges in under 60 minutes.

The Artemis EF-12 Escape presents a way for cities and resorts to tap into their waterways like never before,” continues Percy. “Whether it’s navigating water based urban environments or hopping between islands, this vessel was created to offer passengers something unforgettable.”

The Artemis EF-12 Escape is customisable to meet the needs of various destinations and operations.

Last September the company announced that Brabo, a provider of pilot and port services based in Antwerp, Belgium, had signed an agreement with it to add an Artemis EF-12 Pilot boat to its fleet.

The fully electric foiling vessel is scheduled for delivery in late summer 2025. The Artemis EF-12 Pilot, developed with input from pilotage service operators worldwide.
