Azimut renews Mexico dealership with Performance Boats
Azimut has appointed Performance Boats as its official dealer in Mexico, renewing a long-standing relationship, and has also announced a new dealership in New Zealand with The Nautical Group.
The renewed Mexican partnership brings Performance Boats back into Azimut’s official dealer network, building on a relationship that began in 1994 with the delivery of the brand’s first yacht in Mexico.
“We are very pleased to welcome Performance Boats back to our dealer network in Mexico,” says Federico Ferrante, president of Azimut Benetti Americas. “Our two companies share a successful history and a strong heritage built together over the years, making this renewed partnership especially meaningful.”
The New Zealand appointment, announced earlier this month, sees The Nautical Group represent the Italian yachtbuilder across the country. As official dealer in New Zealand, The Nautical Group operates as Azimut Yachts New Zealand from Mount Maunganui. The move adds another local partner to Azimut’s global sales and service network, which the company says spans 80 countries.
The renewed Mexican agreement brings Performance Boats back into Azimut’s official dealer network, building on a relationship that dates back to the delivery of the brand’s first yacht in Mexico in 1994.
Performance Boats returns to Azimut’s Mexican network
Founded in 1991, Performance Boats has a presence across the Mexican Caribbean, the Gulf of Mexico and the Pacific coast and Sea of Cortez. Its operations include marinas, dry-storage facilities, sales offices and service centres.
Azimut says this infrastructure was a key factor in the appointment, providing local support for yacht owners across the country. Under the agreement, Mexican customers will have access to the builder’s full motor yacht range, including the Seadeck, Fly and Magellano series.
The companies also plan to invest in expanding their local presence. Projects include a new marina in Cancún, a dedicated sales point in Puerto Cancún, and additional sales and service facilities in Veracruz and La Paz, Baja California Sur. The plans come amid wider investment in marina infrastructure, including D-Marin’s ambition to expand its network to 50 marinas.
Javier Aboumrad of Performance Boats says the renewed partnership builds on a long-standing relationship between the companies.
“Some partnerships are timeless. Our relationship with Azimut goes back many years and is deeply rooted in a shared passion for yachting and customer care. We are proud to once again represent a brand that has helped shape the Mexican market and look forward to supporting current and future owners with an even stronger organisation and broader national reach.”
The Mexican appointment forms part of Azimut’s wider international dealership strategy, which combines local sales representation with technical assistance and ongoing owner support.
