In Focus: Avantis Group acquires Bulldog Coating Services
Bridgend-based Avantis Group has acquired Newcastle-based Bulldog Coating Services. This acquisition marks a significant step in Avantis Group’s growth strategy. The company says it will enhance its service offering and will see Avantis offer asset owners flexibility and freedom to perform major works anywhere in the world without access to dry dock facilities.
Bulldog’s services which include inspections, rope access, tank cleaning, and specialist coating applications, are now part of Avantis’ portfolio.

Avantis sees the acquisition as a significant milestone for reflecting its dedication to driving environmental change and maintaining its status as a leader in sustainable practices within the marine and offshore markets.
Incorporating Bulldog Coating Services into the Avantis family expands the company’s capability to offer more diversified services, further strengthening its commitment to quality and environmental stewardship, it says.
Industry veteran Lee Bullock (pictured above left) will remain as MD of Bulldog after the investment, supported by his current management team.
