Award-winning Galeon 680 FLY to debut in Fort Lauderdale

The Galeon 680 FLY debuted at the Cannes Yachting Festival and won The World Yachts Trophy for best exterior design.

“Galeon has once again demonstrated its courageousness to push the boundaries of design and innovation with the introduction of the 680 FLY,” begins Bob Burke, Galeon Brand Manager. “We are honoured that the industry has rewarded its effort with this well-deserved acknowledgment. We could not be more excited for the upcoming introduction of the Galeon 680 FLY to the Americas at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show.”

The World Yachts Trophies awards are granted in recognition of design and technical achievements in yacht building. The 18th edition took place on September 14, 2019, as an extravagant event to wrap up the Cannes Yachting Festival in France. Galeon was awarded the Best Exterior Design Trophy from 64′ to 80′ for the 680 FLY. The evening culminated with the award-winning vessels cruising by the celebration at the iconic Carlton Hotel for the traditional yachts parade, an ultimate salute to the talent, hard work, and passion displayed by all the contestants.

The Galeon 680 FLY changes the way yachts in all classes are measured. Lightweight construction takes advantage of carbon technologies, delivering stunning performance and design. The foredeck can be transformed into an expansive seating area with a touch of a button for sunning or sunset cruising. The vast FLYbridge is most impressive with plentiful seating, wet bar entertaining, and a carbon hardtop. Opening windows in the salon allow cool breezes to sinuously blend inside and outside spaces. With 4 cabins, 30+ knot performance, and amazing innovation the 680 FLY sets new benchmarks.
