Belgian boatbuilder B-Craft has announced a European sea trial roadshow designed to take its flagship Akoya model directly to prospective buyers across key Mediterranean boating hubs.

Running from June through to October 2026, the sea trials will take place in Croatia, Italy, and the south of France. The initiative will offer private, on-water demonstrations and tailored onboard experiences throughout the summer season.

According to the company, the tour is a direct response to a growing market demand for personalised, on-water demonstrations.

Akoya summer roadshow

The roadshow will begin on Italy’s Lake Como from 22 June to 10 July before moving to Marina Dalmacija in Croatia, where the Akoya will be based for the summer. Exclusive sea trials will take place on 17 and 18 July and again from 8 to 12 August, before the vessel returns to Lake Como from 15 August to 5 September for a final series of demonstrations.

The roadshow will culminate in appearances alongside three of Europe’s leading yachting events: the Cannes Yachting Festival (8–13 September), the Monaco Yacht Show (23–26 September), and the Genoa International Boat Show (1–6 October).

Joris Van Aelst, co-founder of B-Craft, says: “One of the biggest challenges for prospective boat buyers is finding the opportunity to experience a vessel in the environment where they actually intend to use it.

“By taking the Akoya directly to some of Europe’s most popular boating destinations, we’re making it easier for clients to get behind the wheel and discover what makes the boat unique.”

Earlier this year, B-Craft reported that it plans to expand beyond its flagship Akoya with two new models that will broaden the brand’s capabilities.

New online configurator hones customisation

Supporting the roadshow is the launch of B-Craft’s new online Akoya configurator, designed to help prospective owners personalise their vessel before stepping onboard.

Developed in partnership with 3DX, the free-to-use platform offers more than 27 million possible configurations, allowing users to customise colours, finishes and specifications.

The configurator, which is currently in beta mode, gives prospective owners the opportunity to explore different design combinations and compare options. According to B-Craft, future iterations will introduce four preconfigured designs and realistic, on-water visuals. Additional B-Craft models will also soon be added to the configurator, including the Akoya Cabin and the Tahiti.

“The configurator allows customers to begin designing their dream Akoya from anywhere in the world,” adds Van Aelst. “It’s a natural extension of the bespoke experience we want to offer every owner, but it is just a conversation starter. The next step is a deep dive into the details, materials and special requests together with the client to make a truly bespoke craft. In short, a B-Craft.”

Readers interested in joining the Akoya roadshow can register for sea trials via the sign-up page on the B-Craft website. Appointments will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
