Barge service offered for boot Düsseldorf

PSP Logistics and Starclass Yacht Transport are offering a barge service for yachts going to boot Düsseldorf. This service is mainly for yachts that are too big to transport by road to boot which will be held at the Dusseldorf Exhibition Centre in January.

PSP Logistics has already taken bookings from UK and European manufacturers for the barge system, which will be loading in Rotterdam during the first week of January 2022.

The northbound vessel, the MV Deo Volente, will be carrying new yachts from Mediterranean ports to Rotterdam. These will then be joined by yachts from the UK and northern Europe which will be arriving in Rotterdam under their own steam. In Rotterdam, they will be lifted onto the river barge using heavy lift cranes on the ship. When the barge arrives in Dusseldorf the vessels will be towed off the barge and waiting trucks will then take them to the show. Most of the large yachts are in Hall 6 at boot Dusseldorf and this system will take the yachts into the hall where the exhibition organisers can lift them onto the various exhibitor stands.
