B&G and Pixel sur Mer partner to develop autopilot solution

Sailing electronics manufacturer B&G is partnering with Pixel sur Mer to develop an autopilot solution for the offshore performance sailing market.

“After our longstanding relationship with Pixel sur Mer for the last 20 years, it was a natural progression to formally integrate our products to provide the best-performing autopilot solution to the offshore performance sailing market,” says Matt Eeles, product director of digital systems at Navico Group, which owns B&G.

“We both support the single-handed race market, having supplied autopilot systems to past Vendée Globe winners, and we are thrilled to provide the latest generation of foiling race boats with a solution deriving from our combined legacy and expertise in sailing electronics.”

Pixel sur Mer is a French manufacturing company that develops and installs high-tech navigation equipment and services.

Driven by Pixel sur Mer’s Exocet technology, the new single-system solution uses B&G’s H5000 pilot system and integrates with B&G pilot controllers. The system provides optimal steering performance, safe modes, and backup and failsafe settings.
