Boat Lagoon Yachting appoints new CEO

Thailand-based dealership Boat Lagoon Yachting has appointed Richard Allen as chief executive officer, as the firm continues its expansion across Asia.

The appointment is effective immediately. Allen brings over 25 years of international experience in yacht sales, charter, brokerage and business development. He has spent the past 12 years in Asia, most recently serving as chief operating officer at Simpson Marine in Hong Kong, where he managed the company through its acquisition by Sanlorenzo and oversaw internal restructuring.

Allen’s previous roles include a decade with Ancasta International in the United Kingdom, where he worked in yacht brokerage and client services.

“This appointment marks a transformational chapter for Boat Lagoon Yachting,” says Vrit Yongsakul, group managing director of Boat Lagoon Yachting. “Richard’s experience, regional insight, and leadership capabilities will be instrumental in advancing our long-term strategy, expanding our footprint, and strengthening our service capabilities across Asia.”

Boat Lagoon Yachting operates in Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and the Maldives. Its portfolio includes Princess Yachts, Jeanneau, Sacs Marine and exclusive representation of Burgess in Southeast Asia.

The company is based at its group-owned Phuket Boat Lagoon Marina and Krabi Boat Lagoon Marina. The business focuses on aftersales, charter services, superyacht brokerage and ownership support.
