Boatasy appoints exclusive UK distributor
Mooring solutions company Boatasy has appointed UK-based Marine Components International (MCI) as its exclusive UK distributor.
The Boatasy range is designed to make mooring simpler. It includes products such as the modular telescopic Dockhook boat hook, Hooklinker, GHOOK med-mooring solution and the Boatasy Ropecleaner.
Poole-based MCI supplies a wide range of high-end marine products to leading yacht builders, chandlers, and shipyards worldwide. Sales and marketing manager David Ellis says he is delighted to welcome Boatasy to MCI’s portfolio and is looking for UK dealers within the chandlery sector.
“Boatasy has taken a completely innovative approach to the design process of a boathook, creating a modular solution that enables safe and speedy mooring or docking whether a buoy, dockside cleat, river pillar or med-mooring,” says Ellis.
“We are very excited by the potential of Boatasy in the UK market. Its team has had great success in recent years and as an established supplier of innovative mooring solutions and with our strong market experience, we are looking forward to working in partnership with Boatasy to help achieve their sales growth ambitions.”

MCI will showcase the range of Boatasy at Boatlife, NEC, Birmingham (15-18 February 2024), and at the 55th Southampton International Boat Show (13-22 September 2024), the UK’s largest watersports festival.
