Cala del Forte marina has named Marco Cornacchia as its new chief executive officer, effective 1 August 2025.

Cala del Forte is owned by Monaco Ports and located in Ventimiglia. The marina was officially inaugurated in July 2021.

Cornacchia takes the reins from Giovanni Battista Borea d’Olmo, 75, who is stepping down after leading the marina from concept to development and overseeing its transformation into one of the Mediterranean’s most prestigious destinations.

Cornacchia, who has served as Cala del Forte’s director since 2018, has worked alongside Borea d’Olmo throughout the marina’s development. Cornacchia, 59, and originally from Rimini, has focused on superyacht and marina management for the last two decades, founding his own company, consulting for Marina di Rimini, and directing Marina di Loano from 2011 to 2017, before coming onboard at Cala del Forte in 2018.

According to the company, Borea d’Olmo, who previously served as general manager of Monaco Ports for 15 years and spent over two decades at the helm of Porto Rotondo in Sardinia, has been essential in shaping Cala del Forte.
