Cerashield launches ceramic coating range for UK marine market

Cerashield ceramic coating products

Cerashield, a company specialising in ceramic coatings for marine surfaces, has launched a UK online store offering its products directly to boat owners and marine professionals across the country.

The product line includes ceramic coatings and maintenance solutions for paint, gelcoat, glass and metalwork. Previously available only through professional application on superyachts, these products are now available for leisure craft of all sizes, including day boats, RIBs, sailing yachts and motor cruisers.

Marine protective coatings

Founded over seven years ago, Cerashield has focused on the superyacht sector, providing ceramic coating application and removal services. Gemma Arteaga, sales manager at Cerashield, tells MIN the inspiration behind offering ceramic-based solutions “was born out of a passion for innovation in marine care and a clear gap in the market. While working closely with boat owners, detailers and service professionals, it became evident that traditional marine cleaning and protection products were either underperforming or unnecessarily complex.

“We saw an opportunity to simplify and elevate aftercare by creating a range of high-performing, ceramic-based solutions that deliver lasting protection, exceptional finish and ease of use.”

According to the company, unlike traditional waxes or polymer sealants, CeraShield’s marine ceramic coatings are built on advanced nanotechnology, with its formulations able to ‘chemically bond to the substrate, creating a durable, hydrophobic layer that resists salt, UV, oxidation and marine contaminants far more effectively than conventional products.’

The product range, now being made available to UK boaters, includes long-lasting protective coatings, aftercare sprays and other maintenance items designed for DIY application or use by local detailing professionals. The online store allows customers in the UK to order these products for direct delivery.

Cerashield’s decision to enter the UK leisure market comes in response to increased interest in long-term boat surface protection and a growing number of owners choosing to handle more of their own maintenance.

“As people spend more time on the water and invest more in their vessels, they are also looking for smarter, more effective aftercare options,” continues Arteaga. “At the same time, the DIY detailing community has grown, with boaters becoming increasingly hands-on and educated about protective technologies like ceramics.

“These trends, coupled with rising demand for eco-conscious and high-performing marine products, made it the perfect time to bring a consumer-focused range to the UK market.”

“We’re proud to offer British boat owners the chance to access the same protective technologies we’ve used on superyachts for years,” says Claire Steel, managing director and founder at Cerashield. “The online store is all about making premium protection simple, effective, and available to everyone, no matter the size of the boat.”

Cerashield’s products are available now via its UK online platform.
