Italian shipyard Codecasa has launched the first Codecasa 57 named Legacy 4, at its facility in Viareggio this morning.
The Codecasa 57, called hull F81 when under construction, is a new build 57-metre superyacht.
Designed for ocean crossing and adventures, Legacy 4 has a steel hull and aluminum superstructure and is equipped with two Caterpillar 3512E engines, each providing 1771kW (2375 hp) at 1800 rpm. The yacht has a claimed max speed of 17 knots at light displacement, and a range of 5,000 nautical miles at 12 knots.
The yacht, which is built to Lloyd’s Register classification, is a collaboration between Codecasa and Italian designer Tommaso Spadolini. Accommodation comprises an owner’s suite, five guest cabins, a captain’s cabin plus six twin cabins dedicated to crew.
The shipyard says in a statement: “The launch of the m.y. Legacy 4 is the result of the hard teamwork, expertise, passion and dedication of the whole Codecasa Shipyards team. To all Codecasa people – from the design to the construction, up to the final installations – goes our heartfelt thanks for the commitment and professionalism they have devoted to this project.”
