D-Marin opens first marina in France

D-Marin has won the tender for Camille Rayon Marina in Côte d’Azur, France.

Marina company D-Marin has won the tender for Camille Rayon Marina in Côte d’Azur, France.

The Vallauris Golfe-Juan municipal council approved D-Marin as the concessionaire for the redevelopment and operation, marking D-Marin’s first marina in France.

Camille Rayon has 841 berths and caters to boats ranging from six metre up to 75-metre superyachts. Built in 1989, this marina is within an hour of destinations including the Lérins Islands, the red cliffs, and the Massif de l’Esterel.

D-Marin says it plans to enhance the marina with a €52m investment over 25 years in its facilities and renovation. D-Marin says, in line with its ESG strategy, it ‘will ensure all investments and improvements are sustainable.’

To complete the marina renovation, D-Marin has appointed architect Rudy Ricciotti, Bouygues Construction, and Arcadis for the design office. The shipyard operations will be managed by superyacht refit, repair, and maintenance company MB92.

Oliver Dörschuck, CEO of D-Marin, says: “Golfe-Juan is one of the most beautiful destinations on the French Riviera. We are delighted to enter the French market with the beautiful Camille Rayon marina. D-Marin has experienced strong growth in recent years, and we look forward to expanding our network of high-end, fully connected and environmentally friendly marinas to more destinations.”

Corinne Reynaud, D-Marin’s CFO and president of D-Marin France, adds: “Welcoming Camille Rayon marks another milestone for D-Marin as our first marina in France. We are thrilled by the decision from the elected officials within the municipal council. It’s paramount for us to establish our proven approach to the environment, sustainability and governance and work in partnership with the local community and stakeholders. This opens a new page in the history of Camille Rayon marina.”

D-Marin now operates a network of 27 marinas with nearly 14,000 berths, 3,000 boat berths in its shipyards and 86,000sqm of commercial space.

The location of Camille Rayon offers D-Marin customers an additional marina destination near its Italian marinas, including D-Marin’s newly acquired marinas in the Liguria region of Italy.

Marina degli Aregai and Marina di San Lorenzo joined the D-Marin network earlier this year and are approximately 100 nautical miles from Camille Rayon.
