D-Marin enters Albanian market with new marina

Vlora Marina

D-Marin has added Vlora Marina in Albania to its portfolio as the international marina operator enters the Albanian market for the first time.

Vlora Marina joins D-Marin’s existing portfolio of 23 marinas across the Mediterranean and Gulf regions and marks the operator’s ninth market to date. The partnership will enable customers travelling from nearby D-Marin marinas in Croatia and Corfu to access the firm’s services in Albania.

Vlora Marina, currently under construction, will offer 438 berths for year-round mooring for yachts and superyachts up to 50 meters in length overall, providing premium marina facilities to the country’s 426km coastline.

Complementing Vlora Marina’s facilities are plans for a promenade along the 2km beach stretching beside the marina. The promenade will feature premium restaurants and bars, a signature spa, and high-end retail and entertainment facilities. Future developments also include a limited number of upscale apartments and the construction of international-standard 5-star hotels.

“This strategic partnership with Vlora Marina is an exciting step into a new market,” says Gyozo Lantos, D-Marin’s director of mergers and acquisitions. “D-Marin is passionate about yachting in the Mediterranean, and our selection of marinas enables yacht owners to enjoy premium services at each step of their voyage across the region. We are thrilled to bring this high-potential yachting hub to life and enhance the city of Vlorë through the growth of nautical tourism.”

Vlora Marina is due for completion in early 2027. Vlorë is Albania’s third-largest city, located at the meeting point of the Adriatic and Ionian Seas.

D-Marin recently partnered with luxury boat manufacturer Azimut Benetti to expand D-Marin’s marina business by improving the growth of nautical tourism in the Mediterranean.
