D-Marin has seen significant traction with its latest smart marina technology, with nearly 20,000 boaters now actively using the marina group’s app. The digital platform is central to the firm’s strategy aiming to improve efficiency, sustainability and customer experiences across its entire network.

Currently, the app has more than 19,300 active users, with an average of 500 new users joining each month. Among private annual berth holders, adoption has also been particularly notable, with 93 per cent activating accounts and 63 per cent using the app multiple times per month.

Designed as a single digital hub, the D-Marin app integrates core innovative solutions, including Smart Pedestals and Smart Sensors. Guests can book berths, renew contracts, check in, monitor vessel status, manage utilities and handle payments.

Supporting the app are two main technologies. The first, Smart Sensors, is a smart monitoring technology powered by Sense4Boat, delivering real-time vessel monitoring to detect risks. To date, more than 10,000 sensors have been installed.

The second, Smart Pedestals, provide owners with control over water and energy use, helping save time and reduce waste. Over 2,500 Smart Pedestals are in place, with more than 90 per cent of users reporting significant time savings.

Matthias Gehring, chief digital officer at D-Marin, comments: Our smart solutions are designed to make marina life more convenient, extra safe and sustainable. By integrating Smart Sensors, Smart Pedestals and our App, we provide an all-in-one solution that gives customers greater autonomy and real-time insights. We are proud to set a global standard for customer experience, operational efficiency and environmental stewardship in marina operations.”

These innovations form part of D-Marin‘s €10m investment in digital systems, including AI-powered platforms, CRM and ERP solutions.

This news follows the launch of D-Marin’s new brand campaign ‘Feels like yachting should feel’ at last week’s Cannes Yachting Festival, which will continue underlining the group’s presence at the autumn boat shows.
