Marine technology manufacturer Dometic has appointed Per Carlsson as acting chief financial officer, effective 7 April 2026.

He succeeds Stefan Fristedt, who announced plans to leave the company in late 2025, and departs the firm in April.

As interim CFO, Carlsson will be based in Stockholm and will report to Juan Vargues, president and chief executive.

Carlsson has experience in senior finance leadership roles and was previously the group CFO at Dometic from 2012 to 2014. He has also previously held CFO positions at appliance maker Electrolux and, most recently, air filtration firm Camfil.

The process to appoint a permanent CFO is ongoing. The company, which produces products for boats like electric coolers, fridges, toilet switches and marine stabilisers, says an update will be provided once the recruitment process is completed.

The news comes after the firm officially launched its new European distribution hub in Forlì, Italy, in 2025.

Located along one of the country’s main north-south motorway corridors, less than an hour from Bologna and three hours from Milan, the new facility offers centralised access to key European markets and proximity to major OEMs.

The manufacturer introduced its first gyrostabiliser, the DG3, designed for boats between 35ft and 41ft, last year. Dometic also announced a global restructure in 2024, but the new European distribution hub further supports Dometic’s existing presence in Milan and continues to build up the firm’s global footprint.
