Outdoor tech equipment company Dometic has launched its highest-performing electric cooler, the Dometic CFX5 Series, to the market.

The CFX5 electric cooler from Dometic is designed with energy-saving and weight-reducing vacuum insulated panels (VIP), a first for Dometic electric coolers.

Made for life in the outdoors, Dometic says the CFX5 electric cooler is ‘the most advanced portable plug-in fridge’.

Housing Dometic’s most powerful compressor ever – VMSO 3.5 – the CFX5 provides refrigeration and freezing capabilities along with dual-zone cooling options on select models; all of which can be controlled remotely through the Dometic app. The CFX5’s can reach temperatures as low as -7 F.

“The pinnacle of electric coolers is here,” says Josh Militello, president of segment mobile cooling solutions at Dometic. “With the CFX5, we’re redefining outdoor experiences – for those who want to explore more, without compromising on the finer things. The CFX5’s rugged build is road-ready with every detail considered, like an alert when the lid is left open and a convenient built-in bottle opener.”

The advanced battery protection system promises reliable performance when connected to your vehicle or powered by Dometic’s batteries.

In December 2024, MIN reported that Dometic was embarking on a global restructuring of the business to ‘support margin expansion and release resources to invest and drive profitable growth’. Currently its portfolio in the marine market spans steering, controls, sanitation, and climate and refrigeration.
