Eagle steps up as Lowrance’s latest fishfinder
Marine electronics maker Lowrance says Eagle, its latest offering in the brand’s entry-level fishfinder/chartplotter lineup, is its most accessible fishfinder yet.
The company has launched the product onto the market with a newly designed high-definition enhanced sonar that has FishReveal technology and detailed C-Map charting, including Genesis Live.
“Eagle brings Lowrance’s high-definition sonar to our most easy-to-use fishfinder, providing the ultimate tool for weekend anglers,” says Jeremiah Clark, VP and general manager of fishing systems at Navico Group. “Developed to make fishing simpler and more enjoyable, Eagle is quick to install – whether on a boat or kayak – and features enhanced autotuning sonar and comprehensive C-MAP charts. Lowrance is dedicated to providing anglers of all levels the latest technology with the single aim of helping them to find and catch more fish and with its true eagle-like vision, this new fishfinder will deliver that.”
According to the company, the Eagle fishfinder was developed for anglers by anglers. The newly designed TripleShot HD and SplitShot HD offer improved clarity, depth performance and sensitivity which Lowrance says results in excellent performance under the surface, while FishReveal on DownScan continues to identify fish from weeds and structures.
Eagle comes preloaded with a worldwide base map chart and the option to upgrade to C-Map Discover. It also allows users to create custom half-foot contour maps of local lakes or unchartered water—in real time—with Genesis Live, giving anglers all the details needed to discover and navigate to the best fishing spots more efficiently.
The Eagle fishfinder is available in 4, 5, 7 and 9-inch display sizes. RRP is £154.99 inc VAT. The 4X model provides flexibility with portrait orientation and true-scroll sonar but is not compatible with enhanced sonar features or mapping.
