Vetus, which designs complete marine product systems, has committed to maintain its prices across the board until January 2025.

The Dutch firm, which is marking its 60th anniversary this year, says it remains committed to providing its products at ‘reasonable prices’ despite economic challenges, including rising inflation rates and escalating costs across materials, transportation, energy and labour. Vetus says that in addition to the price freeze, it has also reduced prices on around a third of its products.

“Our aim has always been to provide innovative solutions at a reasonable price for boaters and OEMs,” says Marcel Borsboom, CEO at Vetus. “As we navigate through this period of economic uncertainty, we remain steadfast in our commitment to our customers.

“As well as keeping our pricing consistent and reducing prices across our product portfolio for the end consumer, we will continue to provide boatbuilders and OEMs with the most competitive pricing options.”

In a statement, Vetus emphasises that it only applied one price increase during the pandemic and has been able to freeze its prices since April 2022 after assessing its entire product line to ‘identify opportunities for price optimisation’.

The company is preparing to move to its new headquarters at the end of this year after breaking ground on the project in December. The new headquarters are being constructed in the Dutch city of Schiedam, where Vetus founder Willem den Ouden was born.
