Enata invests in Manta Foils as electric hydrofoil collaboration expands
Manta Foils demonstrates its electric hydrofoil system
Enata has acquired a minority stake in UAE-based Manta Foils, deepening an existing collaboration between the companies on electric hydrofoil systems.
Enata has supplied carbon composite components for Manta Foils’ products, and the investment will expand cooperation across engineering, manufacturing, and research and development.

Under the partnership, Enata will continue supplying advanced composite solutions while expanding its engineering and research and development work with Manta Foils. The company says Manta Foils will also benefit from its growing R&D capabilities, including new development infrastructure in Abu Dhabi.
The two companies are working across hydrofoil dynamics, propulsion systems and advanced composite technologies, with the aim of developing electric hydrofoil systems and exploring further applications.
Developing electric hydrofoil systems
ENATA’s investment will support Manta Foils’ development of an integrated technology platform combining batteries, propulsion systems and proprietary electronics.
The platform forms the basis of Manta Foils’ product range, which includes foil-assist systems and fully integrated eFoils.
The companies also plan to explore opportunities to supply electrification solutions and carbon composite components to third-party manufacturers, supporting wider adoption of electric marine technologies.
The partnership adds to Enata’s activity in the UAE. In June, the company announced plans for a new Abu Dhabi marine facility, with a $20m investment in manufacturing and development infrastructure.
Manta Foils is based in the UAE and designs and manufactures electric hydrofoil systems, including eFoils and foil-assist solutions. The company serves consumer and professional markets through an expanding distribution network.
