ePropulsion wins European marine award at Seawork

Electric propulsion manufacturer ePropulsion has won a European Commercial Marine Award (ECMA) for its I-Series electrical inboard at this year’s Seawork. Announced during a ceremony at the commercial marine exhibition on Tuesday (13 June 2023), ePropulsion was recognised with the Innovations Showcase Category Award.

Available in 10KW, 20KW and 40KW input power, ePropulsion’s I-Series is a range of space-saving electric inboard motors, designed for both leisure and commercial application.

“This [I-Series Electric Inboard] is filling a gap in the market we haven’t yet filled, and we can see huge potential,” said the judging panel of the EMCAs, which are designed to recognise recognise the highest levels of innovative marine technology.

Danny Tao, CEO of ePropulsion, comments: “We are honored to have won the Innovation Showcase Award for our I-Series at this year’s Seawork. At ePropulsion, we’re passionate about making boating more sustainable. Our innovative I-Series fulfils a gap in the market, and the versatile, electric inboard motors are the most advanced yet. With this range, we have created the ideal solution for various application, from retrofitting to brand new boat projects. I would like to thank our teams for all their hard work in achieving the award, and look to the future, as we continue to spearhead the coming electric and intelligent boating revolution.”

Launched in autumn 2022, the I-Series is underpinned by the ePropulsion Smart System Architecture (eSSA) which takes the electronic control unit (ECU) as the core, and integrates the electric drive system, interactive system, battery system and cloud into one, allowing users to access cloud-based connectivity services without the need for additional accessories.
