ExploMar and Lamdo Yachts partner on electric yacht
The eLY30+ undergoes sea trials in Poland’s Mazury Lake District ExploMar, a China-based manufacturer of marine electric propulsion systems, has established a partnership with Polish motor yacht manufacturer Lamdo Yachts.
The partnership brings together Lamdo’s yacht-building expertise, the naval architecture and design work of Tony Castro Yacht Design and ExploMar’s electric propulsion technology.
The first project is the Lamdo Yachts eLY30+, a fully electric yacht powered by ExploMar’s Wave 300 high-performance electric outboard propulsion system. The eLY30+ can be configured with ExploMar propulsion systems ranging from the Wave 70+ to the Wave 300.
Testing in Poland’s Mazury Lake District
An eLY30+ equipped with the ExploMar Wave 70+ has completed trials in Poland’s Mazury Lake District, with testing looking at operating range, energy consumption and noise levels in an inland waterway environment.
During the trials, the Wave 70+ system recorded cabin noise levels below 60 dB at maximum RPM and below 50 dB during cruising conditions. Range testing calculations show nearly 17 hours of continuous operation at approximately 5 km/h and around 10 hours of navigation at approximately 8 km/h.
On a typical inland waterway route of approximately 36 km between Giżycko and Mikołajki, the vessel consumed around 24 kWh of energy per voyage.
‘Demonstrating the commercial potential of electric propulsion’
The yacht made its debut at the 2026 Polboat Yachting Festival in Poland, where it received the Gdynia Polboat Awards 2026 Special Boats category award.

Electric propulsion is increasingly being considered by boaters for use on European inland waterways, in protected areas and on leisure tourism routes, as measures to reduce emissions from marine transport are introduced.
