Finisterre launches collaboration with RNLI

Outdoor clothing manufacturer, Finisterre, has launched a co-branded collection, of which 10 per cent of every sale from the range will be donated to the RNLI.

Designed with sustainably sourced fabrics to provide long lasting protection, the collaboration notably uses colours inspired by the RNLI’s iconic all-weather lifeboats. Lifeboat motifs are also stitched onto organic everyday basics including tees, jumpers, and hoodies.

Finisterre was founded in 2003 by Tom Kay, and his work and learnings as a helm at the brand’s local lifeboat station in St. Agnes have shaped the business.

“With a shared love and passion for the sea, we are really excited to launch the RNLI + Finisterre collaboration,” says Kay. “The limited-edition range brings together Finisterre’s innovative and sustainable fabric knowledge with the unique volunteer ethos of the RNLI, which is as strong today as it was almost 200 years ago. Personally, the collaboration means a lot, having been a volunteer on the St Agnes lifeboat crew now for nearly 20 years.”

Available for both men and women, the Finisterre + RNLI collection also includes maritime-inspired knitwear, heralding back to the traditional uniform of the first rescuers to put themselves on the front line.

As part of the collaboration, Finisterre will share land-to-sea stories of four RNLI crew members in an episode of the brand’s Hell or High Water podcast.
