First solar-electric Sunreef Eco 80 delivered

Sunreef Yachts has delivered its first 24-metre Sunreef 80 Eco catamaran in Dubai. With composite-integrated solar panels built into the hull sides, mast, superstructure and bimini roof, the company says the Sunreef 80 Eco is a “pioneer in green yachting”.

The catamaran model was first revealed in 2021 as part of the Polish shipyard’s new Eco Line.

The Sunreef Eco 80 is equipped with advanced electric engines and a hydro-generation system, allowing the vessel to generate energy while under sail.

The catamaran’s smart energy management system along with custom-engineered batteries and an innovative air conditioning system provides high energy efficiency for a sustainable cruising experience.

The Sunreef Yachts shipyard is located in Gdansk.

Two-time Formula One World Champion Fernando Alonso has also commissioned a custom 60 Sunreef Power Eco catamaran with Sunreef Yachts.

The Sunreef 80 Eco was given a custom four-cabin layout with a contemporary decor and a focus on sports and entertainment.
