F1’s Fernando Alonso commissions 60 Sunreef catamaran
Two-time Formula One World Champion Fernando Alonso has commissioned a custom 60 Sunreef Power Eco catamaran with Sunreef Yachts. The build contract was signed on 1 September at the Yacht Club de Monaco by Fernando Alonso and Sunreef Yachts’ founder and president Francis Lapp.
Fernando Alonso’s custom 60 Sunreef Power Eco (https://sunreef-yachts.us18.list-manage.com/track/click?u=76e6f20dd954fcc00b543b893&id=a9d987c286&e=a01197a492) will be fitted with electric engines and equipped with the shipyard’s in-house developed solar power system. The yacht will also feature Sunreef Yachts’ custom-engineered ultralight batteries and an energy-saving air-conditioning system. With the signature of this new build contract, the motorsports superstar joins the family of Sunreef Yachts ambassadors.

The yard has made a series of high-profile owner partnerships, with MIN reporting last week that tennis ace Rafael Nadal’s Sunreef 80 is being showcased at this year’s Monaco Show.
