New travel insurance policy specifically for sailors

After frequent customer requests, Haven Knox-Johnston Boat Insurance and sister company, Euromarine Insurance Services, have announced the launch of a new travel insurance policy that has an optional ‘Sailing Pack’.

Partnering with Aston Lark and Millstream Underwriting, the two boat insurance specialists say they have designed the policy with the boater in mind. The optional ‘Sailaway Sailing Pack’ extension covers unplanned mooring costs in the event of a medical emergency and accidental damage excess for charter yachts.

In addition to standard travel insurance policy items such as medical emergencies, cancellation, curtailment, delays, and lost and stolen luggage, the policy also provides access to a 360 Assistance Service, which gives up-to-date, country-by-country information. There is also the option to include winter sports and other high-risk activities.

The policy, which is also suitable for non-boaters, is available as a single trip policy, or a multi trip annual policy.
