Freedom Boat Club adds fifth French location

Freedom Boat Club is set to open a new club in Canet-en-Roussillon, France, located along the Mediterranean coast. This new club will provide direct access to waterways and over five miles of beaches and open later this year.

The company has had a presence in this region since 2019, and it is the fifth franchise location in France. Freedom Boat Club opened its fourth French club in March this year.

“We are thrilled to be adding this location to our growing footprint in France and Europe,” says Arturo Gutierrez, general manager, Freedom Boat Club EMEA. “Canet-en-Roussillon is centrally located within one hour of the first foothills of the Pyrenees and the Spanish boarder, complementing our existing Freedom locations. With our newest location, we are providing more incredible opportunities for our members to go out boating along the Mediterranean coast in southern Europe.”

Located at Capitainerie du Port, the new club will be led by franchise owner, Julien Bougheraba, who has a background in transportation.

“I have always been passionate about boating, and I love spending time on the water to create memories with family and friends,” says Bougheraba. “I look forward to officially launching this season and welcoming many new boaters to the Freedom Boat Club family.”
