Actisense restructures senior leadership team

Marine electronics NMEA specialists Actisense has restructured its senior leadership team, ostensibly to guide the next phase of its growth strategy.

The Dorset-based company, which celebrated its 25th anniversary last year, says it is targeting growth in several new potential markets, including transportation and agritech, as its team grows in headcount, now employing 35 people directly.

Actisense‘s leadership team is now focused on three core areas: innovation and product development, commercial, and manufacturing operations. The leadership team report to the company board, including founder Phil Whitehurst and Michele Whitehurst.

Amy Miles takes the post of head of operations, leading the manufacturing side of the business to ensure maximum product output. Miles will oversee the company’s production, supply chain and compliance channels.

Justin Cohen continues in his role as head of commercial, leading the sales and marketing teams. Having joined the company in 2019, Cohen has led commercial strategy to grow company turnover by 40 per cent in that period, as well as building the brand’s global footprint in support of the company’s 80+ distributors in over 50 countries.

Innes Miller joined the team in 2022 as head of technology and development. He leads the hardware and software teams in the ongoing development of NMEA connectivity.
