Freedom Boat Club San Diego opens new location

Freedom Boat Club San Diego has expanded to its fifth location in Chula Vista, which will open to the public on 23 July 2022.

Offering members a variety of vessels to choose from, such as Defiance and Cobia fishing boats and Bayliner bowriders, Freedom Boat Club San Diego’s Chula Vista location is based at the Safe Harbor South Bay Marina.

Located in San Diego’s Bay, the marina provides boaters with a quiet atmosphere away from downtown, in a park-like setting. The new location joins Freedom Boat Club San Diego’s Oceanside, Bay Marina Cortez, Cabrillo Isle and Mission Bay Dana Landing locations.

This expansion follows Freedom Boat Club’s recent growth in the upper midwest, with five new locations set to open in Wisconsin this summer.

“Freedom Boat Club San Diego is excited to extend our offerings to the beautiful and expanding South Bay community,” says Dan Hasbrouck, president of Freedom Boat Club San Diego. “With many of our members living in the South Bay area, we wanted to provide a location that was more convenient. We believe that creating powerful life-long memories with friends and family on the water should be easy to access and hassle free.”

Recently, Brenna Preisser, business acceleration and chief strategy officer of owner Brunswick Group, spoke to MIN about Freedom Boat Club’s surge in female members.

Chula Vista is the second largest city in the San Diego metropolitan area and located in the South Bay area, halfway between San Diego and Tijuana.

San Diego Bay is a natural harbour and deepwater port located in San Diego County. It is considered one of the best natural harbours on the west coast, spanning 34 miles of waterfront. The bay, which is 12 miles long, is one of the protected natural bays on California’s 840-mile-long coastline.
