Frigomar appoints new distributor for UK and Ireland

Italian HVAC specialist Frigomar has appointed Advance Yacht Systems as distributor for its range of air conditioning units, fridges and ice makers in UK and Ireland.

Frigomar Export Manager, Bernardo Cerrai, comments: “The appointment of Advance Yacht as our representative in the UK will strengthen the communication and supply chain links with British boat builders and end users.

“Our new advanced inverter technology will be of particular benefit to prestige brands looking to maximise the energy efficiency of their yachts and provide greater comfort for their customers.  This appointment compliments our global expansion which has seen us open new service centres in the Caribbean and US in the last year.”

Advance Yacht is the UK distributor for Paguro and Westerbeke marine generators, Dessalator watermakers, Cristec battery chargers and Studer inverter/charger systems.

Managing Director, Rod Boreham, comments: “With a reputation for delivering high quality power generation and desalination systems, we also have extensive experience of air conditioning systems and are excited to add the new Frigomar range of energy efficient air conditioning systems to our range.

“With their ECO function these units are amazing; yachts can now have powerful, silent air conditioning without the need for large generators.  These air conditioning units can even run happily off an inverter as ECO mode only uses 200W.”

Frigomar has over 45 years’ experience manufacturing marine air-conditioning systems, refrigeration systems and ice-makers for boats.  Frigomar’s market leading variable speed technology has been achieved through a close and ongoing collaboration with the University of Genoa.

A family company, Frigomar was founded in 1973 in Leivi close to Genoa, Italy.
