Gladiator Jet to appear at Southampton Boat Show

Former star of ITV’s hit show Gladiators, Diane Youdale (a.k.a. “Jet”), will be joining guests at Southampton Boat Show’s annual Ladies Day (Thursday 20 September 2018) to offer up motivational stories and her top tips on how to keep fit on the water.

After ditching her pink lycra Jet suit, Diane has accumulated plenty of fitness and health expertise, practicing as a Psychotherapist for over 20 years, a Master Practitioner and Trainer and successfully completing the Holistic Lifestyle Coach certification from the world-renowned CHEK Institute. She has also racked up the hours on the water as an avid surfer so is well placed to advise and inspire.

Jet has remained a favourite on the small screen, appearing on shows including Celebrity Juice, Celebrity Pointless and Paul O’Grady Show in recent years and has retained a considerable following.

Through her alter-ego Jet, Diane is held as a role model to women of all ages and will be appearing on the Show’s Heart Stage to answer questions, as well as meet and greet visitors, on Thursday 20 September at 1pm.

She will also be taking to the water, showcasing her paddling skills, on the Show’s brand new kayak & SUP assault course. This new on-the-water feature forms part of the Show’s popular Get Afloat attraction and will be available for visitors to slalom, spin and manoeuvre their way through daily throughout the Show as they challenge their friends and family to get that winning spot on the leader board.

Diane Youdale comments: “Keeping fit has always been an important part of my life, from my days as a GB gymnast, to those happy and amazing years on Gladiators, to my life now as a therapist, trainer and coach and I can’t wait to share my passion for staying fit on the water with visitors at this year’s Southampton Boat Show.”

Celebrating its 50th anniversary, Southampton Boat Show is Britain’s biggest boating festival showcasing the lifestyle, fun and excitement that being on the water has to offer.

Whether tempted to dip your toe in for the first time, an aspiring sailor or seasoned boater, it offers a fantastic social experience, the chance to stock up on the latest boating gear and the perfect opportunity to indulge a passion for the water.
