Grand Banks Yachts (GBY), builder of brands including Grand Banks, Palm Beach and EastBay, is expanding its US footprint with a new sales and service office in Newport Beach, California.

The new location strengthens the group’s factory-direct owner support network across the US, which remains the largest global market for its luxury motoryacht brands. The west coast expansion follows the strategic acquisition of a Newport, Rhode Island, marina in June 2025, aligning with the group’s broader strategy to scale its brand presence and corporate-owned infrastructure in North America.

Grand Banks Yachts recently posted its financial results for the six months ending 31 December 2025 (1H FY2026) with sales rising but profits dropping 60 per cent.

Serving as a hub for current and prospective owners on the US West Coast, the Newport Beach office complements the group’s existing regional waterfront facilities. The site will provide direct access to factory sales guidance, service coordination, commissioning and personalised owner support.

Sales at the new office will be led by industry veteran Sarah Antona. Yacht owners can expect factory-level support throughout the delivery and ownership experience through Robert Antona, USA commissioning manager for GB Marine Group and a Volvo Penta Master Technician.

The Newport Beach expansion positions the group as one of the few international yacht manufacturers to maintain factory-level support hubs across both the Atlantic and Pacific coasts of the US.

GBY’s CEO Mark Richards says: “The Newport Beach office strengthens our connection with customers on the West Coast, and allows us to be closer to our owners. Whether someone is taking delivery of a new yacht, planning a service visit, or preparing for their next passage, the best experience comes from direct access to the people who design, build, and support these yachts.

“The USA is our most important market, and we take that seriously. Our efforts to establish a strong ecosystem in the USA have allowed us to build an owner support network that is genuinely unmatched in this industry.”
