Henshaw Inflatables expands team and objectives

Yacht Featuring Slide and Jet Ski

Henshaw Inflatables, which provides tubes for RIB builders and superyacht tenders, has expanded its team. Vicky Farrow has become operations director, and James Harris has been appointed director of business development and sales.

Farrow brings a wealth of senior and international marine industry experience, as well as specific background positions with key motorboat manufacturers, including Scorpion RIBs.

“The challenge of being able to continue to grow the business in the positive direction that the wing group is taking us in,” says Farrow. “Priorities in the role include ensuring we maintain a high level of quality in our products along with excellent customer service.

“[While] the supply chain still has some wobbles, logistics is very volatile, and this can make our competitive pricing more of a challenge. We are constantly moving with the market to maintain a stable supply and demand for all the Henshaw customers, who are based all over the world.”

With over 25 years of experience in the marine industry, plus a decade as a pro-racing sailor, Harris has worked most recently for Arksen and Seldén.

Henshaw Inflatables, which celebrates 50 years in business in 2024, was acquired by the Wing Group in 2017. Also in the latter’s stable is Patten Company, FabTek Industries, and Mustang Survival (read an exclusive interview about the company’s UK objectives in MIN). The inflatable business manufactures the Easystow range of inflatable fenders and has introduced a sea pool and inflatable Jet Ski platform.

“The Wing Group is a world leader in inflatable boats, life rafts, flotation, dry suits, and other tactical and survival solutions for recreational, commercial, and military customers,” says Andrew Branagh, president of The Wing Group. “Our acquisition of Henshaw Inflatables and now the appointment of Vicky and James will drive business and manage our investment in the new era for Henshaw. Their focus will be on increasing production and continuing to grow the Henshaw brand.”

In 2019, the company selected Superyacht Tenders & Toys to handle sales of all its superyacht transom fenders.
