James Powell returns to Fairline as sales director

British boatbuilder, Fairline Yachts, has appointed James Powell as its new sales director, effective immediately.

Bringing more than 35 years of experience to the role, Powell is a welcome return to Fairline, having sold his first Fairline at the Southampton Boat Show back in 1984 and worked for the brand for several decades since. Most recently, James has been running sales operations at Princess Poole.

Powell has previously worked for two Fairline dealers and was part of the UK Fairline distributorship before joining the factory in 2005 where he looked after the extensive dealer network in the EMEA region for a decade.

In his new role, he will be responsible for managing and developing the brand’s global dealer network and developing the sales pipelines around the world. He has invaluable experience and understanding of the brand, the sales network and the leisure marine industry and is an important addition to the senior management team, says Fairline.

“I am delighted to return to Fairline. I have a genuine passion for the brand and am looking forward to reconnecting with the team and dealers around the world. The recent product launches provide exciting opportunities for the brand and its future success,” Powell says.
