Jeanneau Yachts launches new 55-footer
After the recent launches of the Jeanneau Yachts 60 and 65, Jeanneau Yachts is launching a new 55-footer.
The company says this new 17m yacht offers a fresh look with its ‘clever and unprecedented layout’.
It has a 4.99m wide deck space which has been optimised to offer numerous benefits. The aft cockpit has saloons on each side, one U-shaped and one L-shaped, including tables and bench seating that convert into a full-beam sunbed. There’a a retractable hydraulic swim platform.
The forward cockpit features twin steering wheels in a space which can be entirely covered by a hard top. There’s a true exterior chart table which is protected by a wide windscreen.
The flush deck features integrated wraparound sidedecks, which are slightly inclined.
For long offshore cruises, in addition to a wraparound windscreen, Jeanneau says it has imagined a true cocoon, with: a hard top that fully encloses the forward helm, as well as the possibility of installing a hard top with solar panels, and a bimini to shelter the aft living space.
It’s due to be revealed in Spring 2023.
