Water Revolution Foundation welcomes Jemma Lampkin to board of directors
Water Revolution Foundation has welcomed Jemma Lampkin to its board of directors. The non-profit believes she will bring insights that reflect the wider ecosystem and will strengthen the sector’s influence on its board.
Lampkin recently celebrated her decade-long anniversary with AkzoNobel as global commercial director and has also held senior roles in its Aerospace Coatings business. She holds a degree in Psychology from Columbia University and an Executive MBA from the National University of Singapore.
Recognised as an inspirational leader and a role model for women in the marine industry, Lampkin is committed to advancing sustainable innovation in yacht coatings, driving initiatives that reduce environmental impact while maintaining high standards.
Earlier this year, Lampkin spoke with MIN explaining how AkzoNobel challenges its employees’ talents, the current threats to diversity, and what it’s like being a woman in the marine sector.
She joins the board of directors as a frequent speaker at industry events, such as Metstrade, sharing insights on talent development, emerging technologies, and sustainability.
Lampkin comments on her new appointment: “Becoming part of the Water Revolution Foundation board offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with industry experts equally passionate about embedding sustainability in yachting.
“The supply chain is instrumental for the acceleration of change through innovative product development. It is crucial that solutions reach the decision-makers as early as possible, but also have their credentials checked. I’m honoured to have the opportunity to bring that perspective to the Foundation as we continue to drive meaningful, measurable progress towards a more sustainable future for our industry.”
