Lippert acquires marine axle manufacturer

Indiana, US-based component maker Lippert Components Inc has acquired Marine Trailer Performance (MTP), a marine axle manufacturer located in Houston, Texas. The transaction was completed through Lippert’s subsidiary, Kinro Texas.

Lippert Components is a supplier of a broad array of components for original equipment manufacturers in the recreation and transportation product markets,

MTP specialises in marine axles, axle lubrication systems, hydraulic brake actuators and performance disc brakes for boat trailers. The acquisition of MTP closed in May 2023 and financial terms have not been disclosed.

MTP says it will help Lippert capitalise on a notably underserved part of the market, utilising Lippert’s coast-to-coast axle manufacturing and warehousing capabilities to provide the best product and service possible.
