Lofrans introduces the SX7 Vertical Windlass

Lofrans has introduced the SX7 Vertical Windlass line, which it says combines top performance, absolute safety and style.

The SX7 is being marketed at megayachts of 80-120ft, and is said to be suitable for chains of 12-14mm.

The company says the SX7 is already installed on Ferretti’s M/Y Navetta 30 and the Ferretti 1000.

Lofrans says it only uses specific marine grade materials which are able to withstand marine corrosion, and are treated in such way so as to increase windlasses’ mechanical strength.

The SX7 features independent gypsy and drum operation, a manual chain release, chain counter magnet pre-installed as standard, anodised marine aluminium gearbox, heavy-duty electric motor and can come with a chain pipe.
