Maritimo S55 to unveil at Sanctuary Cove

Maritimo has announced it’ll be premiering its new S55 sedan motor yacht in May 2021, with details to be unveiled at the Sanctuary Cove Boating Festival.

“The new S55 offshore adventuring sedan motor yacht marks the first of an evolutionary design shift to the exterior form and styling within the S-Series sedan motor yacht range,” says Maritimo’s director of design, Tom Barry-Cotter.

“The key practical design features of S-Series models past remain, with an array of exterior form advancements and additional features included.

The Sanctuary Cove Boating Festival is taking place on Australia’s Gold Coast this weekend (13 to 15 Nov).

Organisers say marine enthusiasts will be spoiled for choice at the event, with a big line-up of day, sport, fishing and leisure boats, as well as sail and power catamarans. They say very little, however, about Covid-19 and any measures in place to help slow the spread of the pandemic.

It’s being marketed as a free, family-friendly event, designed as a precursor to the 2021 Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show, with the only nod to the killer virus sweeping the globe being the need to register in advance. Compare and contrast that with the pain staking detail added to UK events about rules and regulations.

Popular brands and manufacturers confirmed in the 20 to 40-foot category on water include Axopar, Whitehaven Motor Yachts, Nautique, Newport Island Gypsy Boats, Game and Leisure Boats, Grady White, Regal, Caribbean, Integrity, BRIG, Cobalt Boats of Australia, Clipper Motor Yachts, and Magbay Yachts Australia.

“We expect families and recreational boating enthusiasts will show ample interest in the trailer boat segment at this year’s event, particularly in the lead up to summer given the local region’s incredible waterways,” says the festival’s sales & partnerships manager Dominic O’Brien.
