Video: McConaghy launches MC82p catamaran

McConaghy Boats has launched its new powercat, the MC82p, which has completed successful sea trials in Hong Kong.

This all-rounder catamaran is designed as a long-range cruiser, suitable as a family yacht, coastal weekender, and platform for commercial charter.

McConaghy says the yacht’s internal volume has been maximised through open-plan design. The main deck boasts a saloon lounge with a dining area and galley, creating a welcoming and spacious atmosphere.

The aft deck offers an expansive space with sofas and al fresco dining, while the forward exterior lounge offers a spot to unwind and take in the views.

The flybridge features an informal dining area, freestanding lounge furniture, and a BBQ positioned aft. Four seaward-facing double cabins provide unparalleled comfort for extended journeys. Additionally, there are two crew cabins and a utility room.

The catamaran series, which ranges in size from 55ft to 115ft, features both sailing and power vessels, and all models are fully customisable.

The standard spec is equipped with twin 875hp engines, which can reach a top speed of 28kts and cruise at 10kts. With an 8,000l tank capacity, the maximum range at a cruising speed of 10kts is 4,000nm.
