METSTRADE launches career zone for young marine professionals

Metstrade young professionals club

METSTRADE has partnered with UK-based recruitment company Marine Resources to launch the METSTRADE Career Zone within the Young Professional Club at METSTRADE 2023 (15-17 November).

At this year’s METSTRADE event, students and up-and-coming professionals will enjoy complimentary access to career coaching sessions courtesy of Marine Resources’ recruiters. Additionally, METSTRADE exhibitors can take advantage of free job advertisement opportunities within the METSTRADE Career Zone.

Marine Resources will also promote its ‘The Future Talent’ initiative during METSTRADE, a campaign built on four pillars: Attract, Train, Retain, Thrive.

The initiative provides a platform for young professionals to express their aspirations and expectations for the marine industry’s future while collecting valuable insights and data. It also aims to educate and influence the industry on the unique needs of young professionals, particularly millennials and Gen Z, as crucial contributors to the industry’s continued success.

METSTRADE says the Young Professional Club, aimed at marine industry talents under 35, features an engaging programme curated in partnership with Marine Resources.

Attendees can anticipate networking opportunities, personalised career advancement guidance, insights from industry leaders in the marine sector, skill enhancement workshops and engaging round table discussions.

“We extend our heartfelt thanks to Marine Resources for partnering with METSTRADE,” says Niels Klarenbeek, METSTRADE show director. “We are excited about this collaborative venture, which focuses on nurturing, developing, and retaining talent in our industry. We are confident that the METSTRADE Young Professionals Club will empower young professionals and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the leisure marine industry.”

James Ward, CEO and founder of Marine Resources, adds: “We are immensely proud to lead the way with the Young Professionals Club and provide a dedicated space during METSTRADE for young professionals to connect and network.”

This partnership extends beyond the three exhibition days of METSTRADE, with the creation of a dedicated ‘Young Professionals Club METSTRADE’ LinkedIn group, where young professionals can network within an online community. With content tailored specifically for young professionals and METSTRADE exhibitors, Marine Resources says it will provide support in areas such as talent retention and development.
