Metstrade: Charter Guest app debuts safety feature developed after Bayesian sinking
Superyacht Operating Systems (SOS), founded by yacht captain David Clarke, will present its Charter Guest app at Metstrade and introduce a new digital safety feature, which was developed following the Bayesian sinking in August 2024.
Led by Jodie and Keira Clarke, the mother-daughter team behind Charter Guest, the app serves as a central digital hub designed to streamline guest information and reduce administrative workload for crews. It replaces paper-based binders with a digital interface offering tools such as zoomable deck plans, nautically accurate routes on Google Earth and AI-generated destination guides.
“From zoomable deck plans to nautically-correct routes overlaid on Google Earth, enhanced by AI-generated destination guides, Charter Guest transforms the guest experience from passive to interactive,” says Jodie Clarke. “It’s a tool designed for crew, by crew, making operational efficiency and guest satisfaction effortless. We centralise everything a guest needs – from daily menus and crew bios to activity summaries and Wi-Fi details – and are capable of seamlessly integrating with Crestron.”

The new Guest Emergency Procedure Sign-off feature, developed in response to captain feedback after the Bayesian incident, enables guests to digitally confirm they have reviewed safety procedures.
“This was the number one feature requested by captains,” says Keira Clarke, who helps lead the Charter Guest division. “It’s a simple, verifiable step that enhances onboard safety and reduces administrative liability.”
Jodie and Keira Clarke will demonstrate the new feature at Metstrade’s Superyacht Startups area in Hall 8. Since its launch in 2023, Charter Guest has gained recognition at industry events for offering digital tools tailored to real-world yacht operations. As part of a Metstrade promotion, new users who register at the event will receive one year of complimentary access to the add-on, valued at €600.
“We built this app based on real problems we faced onboard,” says Jodie. “We’re excited to meet the community at Metstrade, show them the tools and continue learning how we can make life easier for crews and their guests.”
Superyacht Operating Systems was established in 2013, initially as a free online library of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for crew. Today, the company’s products include the Total Superyacht compliance platform, the Luxe App for digital SOPs and the Charter Guest digital concierge service.
